I will be travelling to Taipei next month for a week. Planned to go either Green Island or Penghu from Taipei. Need to do some comparison. Sorry i know its confusing.
Penghu on the other hand offers something for everyone, you have white sand beaches for swimming, sunbathing, parasailing, and all forms of water crafts. But you also have deep seas for snorkeling, scuba diving, and sport fishing.
There are so few traffic on most of the Penghu islands you have a greater chance of running into a wild goat than another motor vehicle. I'm also keen to know more about these two islands. Have always wanted to visit them but always never materialise. Anyway, between the two, Penghu is considerably bigger right? GI I had the impression that one can bike around it in half a day?
Did I get this wrong? If I am not into water activities but more into sceneries, which of these two would offer better scenic coastal ride? Penghu is not just one island, but an archipelago of approximately 30 islands each with its own distinct flavors.
Some of the bigger islands, such as Magong , are densely populated, with airports, naval bases, high rise hotels and all the trappings of an urban city, while others such Chimei and Baisha are laid back little islands where time seems to come to a complete stand still, and you feel you are all alone in this world.
